 This painting has been devoted to the famous story of the Edgar Poe named "Mask of Red death". The artist has gone through the strongest impressions from perusal of this book. Prince Prospero has called for itself the 1000 of most windy and most hardy of approached and together with them has left in one of most reinforced locks where nobody could disturb him, and has arranged a masquerade. In the heat of fun there is the new mask appears. It was the Mask of Red Death.
