Some words about the painting. Some years ago I have seen the cinema “Christ torture” by Mel Gibson. I was very impressed and disturbed by this action. It was the time when I have been thought about the creating of the painting that will be dedicated to this well known biblical subject. And at the 15th of February, 2007 I have started to work. You see the moment just after the Christ’s torture. Christ is not central figure. You see his small figure that carries the cross at right top corner. Central figures are Maria (Christ’s mother) that hold the fabric with blood of Christ at her lips and Maria Magdalena that lay at the ground. Also there are several Christ’s pupils at first plane and some peoples from the crowd. Bright divine light fall from the heaven onto the Christ’s figure. This light touches the face of Maria and part of fabric too.
